Hot Rods Please help to ID this steering wheel

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by loosewheel, Jul 9, 2024.

  1. I love this steering wheel, but it has no stamping or labeling to help me identify the manufacturer, brand or model number. I currently swap it between 2 of my cars (50 Olds Coupe and 31 Model A Pickup) and that is getting old!
I love the color (bone or ivory), the finger grips and the diameter... the dish could be shallower for my Model A, but it's not bad.
Ive searched here, swap meets, evilbay and Marketplace, no luck so far.
Any info will be greatly appreciated!!

  2. Had one like it on my coupe. Maybe superior?

  3. Could be I guess, but every Superior I ran across was clearly stamped.

Maybe Grant? I know they had smooth grip with slot spokes and Finger grip with double slot spokes. @Moriarity probably knows.

certainly a grant. they have not made them with finger grips for a very long time.....

the Mooneyes wheels are a grant knockoff, maybe this one would be close enough?

The trouble with the new ones will be that they are stark white and not the ivory color of the vintage wheel that you have

  8. Thanks for the info, I definately do not want stark white. But if you think its a Grant at least I can search that. Maybe someone will know the style or model number...shoot maybe someone will see this that has one they'd sell!
    Thanks again!
