Looks to be a 4 door sedan, shortened and with the pickup box added. You may have already recognized that but I have no idea of make. Cool wheels too. Tim

That's a nice project! Do you plan to buy and build?
    Or just curious?

That truck is awesome! Any chance it is a survivor from a Depression-era conversion?

Is that a touring I spy lurking in the background, or a sedan with the top hacked off?

You could get tires or something easier during WW2 if it was for a truck. Lots of sloppy converions.

Not a bad conversion for the era...I've seen some really bad cut up jobs, but this one isn't that bad...it would make an interesting project for sure.

to cool of a hotrod build , id like to see this one redone and in paint

  13. The degree of craftsmanship in this conversion is way above most of the cars that were cut off to make trucks. Since it was well done to start with, and you don't have the back doors and roof sections and such to put it back original, I would want to build it the way it is and invent a **** and bull story about the ultra-rare Desoto pickup and this one being the only surviving example. Using the back portion of the sedan body makes for a much roomier cab than any of the early '30s trucks had.
