Please indenting the threaded hole on the front of my 292 thermostat housing

    I am having trouble figuring out what the threaded hole on the front of the thermostat housing on my 292 chevy i6, I am going to replace my thermostat and noticed it without a bolt in it..

    I found this in google images. It may not be the factory routing for the fuel line, but then again maybe it is. Hope this helps.:)

    I just noticed that this is a picture of a 235( or maybe a 216 ), but the thermostat housing looks like the image you posted. I googled "292 chevy" and then clicked on images, go figure.
     
  3. Yep , 54 has it , the 216 on up I-6's all share that thermostat housing, and that's the stock location for the fuel line and clamp.

    Oh wow, your right, for some reason mine was actually installed backwords without the clamp, thanks for the info
