One of my son's schoolmates had the same thing and went through surgery. She is a very rambuctious, healthy 6 year old today.
The doctors know their shit when it comes to this stuff.

That's encouraging news. As a father, I can only imagine the stress you and your family are under. Have faith, keep optimistic and know that many are pulling for you and have Liam in our prayers. My son was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat that eventually righted itself. These little guys are incredibly tough and it sounds like you have the best care possible.

Liam might be the coolest name for a stubborn little Irishman. It just sounds tough. Judging by his looks, he'll be a lover, not a fighter.

Daughter was born with the VSD also. She is 19 now! What a heart breaking thing to go thru. Prayers are with you your wife and Liam!

Luckily my daughters healed by itself but it was a hrd time anyhow with all the worry. Especially when they look so healthy!

I wish you and yours all the best,It is hard to fathom the prospect of such a dilemma at first.
It happened to us about 29 years ago at about this time of year too.
My son was simply born too early,had heart and lung development issues,and at that time the technology was not as developed as today ,so that is in your son' favor.

We lost our 3 dayold son Jesse ,but as in most things there is always some good out of bad..

His twin brother survived and is doing great and an adult now.
Sorry for the rambling here,but you have a lot of HAMB support friend!

I pray that not only will he grow to be a healthy man, but will be cured to the point that he will NOT need medications to sustain life.

Little Liam is in my whole households prayers. You take care of yourself as well!!

 

Well my wife and I are heading off to bed right now very tearful, as tomorrow we take our 1 yr oldboy in for an upper GI, to see if he has GER? I maybe have that back wards, anyhow. They are checking his lungs, diaphram etc, one side of his diaphram is lower than the other, and he has consistant bronchitis, asthma etc. He was 1 day shy of 8 weeks pre-mature, but did great from the start. The Dr's really know what they are doing, as some friends had a baby boy the same day and time as we did, and he was 2lbs 6 oz. very undeveloped, and is doing great now. You guys and Liam are in our prayers and will add y'all to our prayer list at church tomorrow night. Hang in there, keep your heads high, as you have hundreds if not thousands praying for y'all. God listens, just have faith.
