Projects Please put my thread back up...

I just started a thread about a postal jeep I bought for the 153 Chevy II motor and someone deleted the thread...probably because they thought I was building the jeep...not so...I wanted the 153 for a Model A project... Please put my thread back up. Thank you.

You need to send them a letter. It must not have gotten the mod's stamp of approval.

The Mods didn't delete the thread...it was automatically deleted because someone hit the Report ****on. It's happened before when someone that doesn't like what you've posted is being a

Be sure to use the proper "Hot-Rod" stamp.

 

All Jeeps look alike, make sure they know it's a 1964.

 

As off topic as the Jeep is I knew you were buying it for the engine,someone just had too much libation last night and woke up in a pissy mood. HRP

 

A report ****on hit does nothing to your thread. A mod gets a report notification then the mod takes an action.

Understandingly, mods are busy and maybe don't look at the thing they are about to delete. Hell nobody reads anything here, it like congress so you thread got **** canned

 

start a new thread ***led New Model A engine, and don't worry about it.

 

Right now, Larry, you're probably just wishing you had sent a "conversation" directly to a moderator, huh?

 

Last time this happened, Ryan told me it happens automatically when a certain number hit the Report ****on.

All you need to know is a 153 is a 230 with two less cylinders... A few years ago I swapped one into a 47 CJ Jeep and had to dance around a bit to avoid the non traditional issue. At the same time was a many page thread on a late 60's postal Jeep....Go figure ?

 

I think some of the moderaters disagree with other mod' army combatants anyway. Some are really cool and agreeable.......while others need a coffee, a cigarette, and a bj.....to keep their quick draw finger at ease. Doesn't seem to be a solid mode of operand i or rule set that gets followed sometimes. Just a shoulder shrug and a red ****on at idle maybe. I would have guessed you would have had possession of a hall p***/bathroom key though.

it's the 153 chevy II motor...iron duke is pontiac 151...but some still call the 153 iron duke

 

Don't be too hard on the moderators,they have a tough thankless job trying to keep the hamb on target and I'm sure they have hundreds of report ****ons pushed daily,we have many thousands of members and newbies and old members alike that are pron to post something not deemed traditional and the delete ****on gets used.

I know I have had my fair share of threads deleted over the years.

I believe Larrys post although it wasn't a poster child for traditional hot rods it was relevant considering the reason why he purchased the jeep,,the 4 banger engine that is slated to reside between the frame rails of a model A.

Maybe,the moderator that hit the ****on will show a little comp***ion for a old fart and bring Larrys thread back. HRP
