Yeah, I can let him slide till the 17th. I'm trying to be cool about this.

There's been a lot of people that have accused him of lying. I am not one of them. But, he's publicly claimed he'll have them for the 17th, so let's see if he does. I'm willing to give any HAMBer the benfit of the doubt. Once.

Honestly, I really hope he steps up and straightens this out. Not just for the bell and my needs, but because he makes some rad **** and it would be a shame if people couldn't buy it because of fear of lousy service. If people stop buying, the parts go away, and that would ****.

    Peace.

yeah, yeah, i know a 4 speed is "traditional" but a t400 with a high stall switch pitch converter will amaze you!

I was down at Matry's shop a month ago and he is swamped with **** going on. Not making excuses for him I think that he should set thing right with you guys. I know he was looking at getting a office manager so he could get back doing actual work. Hopefully that will help settle problems.

Well,I know we have the HAMB O'Dex where members can list their services and products, but I was not aware of someplace where, for instance,I wanted to check out what HAMB folks thought about Speedway Motors before I placed an order. If there is such a location, please point me in the right direction, once again.:)

  6. I agree about the review section for suppliers. I've seen other message boards that have this feature and it's one I appreciate. They're divided into "good" and ''bad" headings. Anybody can easliy go to those sections and find info about those the may be dealing with. Sorta like a tech archive for suppliers. Always there and available to all.

hemi coupe- here's the 29 on sectioned 32 rails I'm working on. has a built and brand new 425 and should've had a 4 speed. anyhow, It's going to be lot's of fun no matter what. I built it in about 6 weeks while going to school full time, and then while waiting for my bellhousing, It has collected dust for about 5 months. The longest it's ever taken me to build a car, maybe that's why I am now getting into bikes???

P.S. hemi coupe- this is the body and rails I bought from dana , the one you wanted after I told him I wanted it. sorry it had to go to me but it is serving a good cause, or at least will be soon when she's driving...

Think so. He used to run with Buddy and all the Lucky Devil's. I remember an incedent where he didn't finish a guys car. The guy wasn't too happy.
A serious beating took place. The guy never steered me wrong, but I avoid him.

It's about my 12th car and I keep building up. Everytime I sell a car I can put a little more money into the next one. While this one has been sitting I took up bobbers and between all my projects and rent etc. the money goes fast. Even if you have a little cash, a hotrod can take it away pretty fast. Soon as I sell this one I'm gettin a lathe, tubing bender, and a good TIG. I wasn't planning on selling this one but I have my eye on alot of stuff.P.S. Sammy ( the guy who builds all those little bucket cars) taught me everything along with about 15 other hotrodders I know. That guy knows alot of stuff.

I have been watching the threads on Marty for a bit with no comments to make. Now I will. I recently aquired a 57 Lincoln Premier from a good friend. "We traded cars." The very hard to find parts for 368 motor was rebuilt by Marty less than 1000 miles ago. At a tune of 3500.00 for the lower end. The heads were done elsewhere. Well I'm driving it home and "Kabooom" A rod goes to ****. Normally I say "oh well, **** happens with old cars." But when the motor was just rebuilt. "Or should I say cleaned off and spray painted" It's kind of a ****ty deal. I almost dropped the motor off in front of his booth at Hotrod a rama. He wont be getting any of my buisiness.

I just bought a nailhead. I hate to say this, but if your reading this Marty, you might want to speak up and redeem yourself. You may lose future business from me. I was all excited about buying some parts from but after reading this.......i just dont know.

Well, All I am going to say is that I do the best I can and things don't always turn out like I plan. I keep everyone abreast of the progress as I can. I don't see anyone else making these parts and if everyone wants to bad mouth me for how long it takes then I will stop making them.

When I feel a refund is needed that is what I do. If I get it back that is not my fault. I have been very busy.

First: Good help is hard to find and I can't do it all by myself
Second: I have been in and out of the hospital with back problems so this doesn't help.
Third: My sister just lost her home in Miss. and I am trying to bethere for my family
Fourth: If you think I am blowing smoke up anyones *** then come see for yourself.

As far as some of these stories i find a lot of people telling lies or just enough of the truth to make them look good.

Joe; I don't know who you are on the Lincoln motor but you forgot to mention that the motor was never broke in becasue of a bad water pump and is sat in a driveway for months.

As far as a shop in So-Cal. I did go down there and work for several years. At one point I thought I would try my hand at it and I teamed up with some people who I trusted had the money to do it. It failed miserably due to lack of funds and I took the blame because I was the face. Did I give up and go work at McDonald's? Do I have anything to hide form? NO. I do what I love and I share it with others. If I never sold another nailhead part I would still do it. I do the best I can and I back up my parts and our service. I am not perfect but I put out more effort than most. I do make mistakes like everyone else and I do the best I can to resolve them. If anyone can do better then by all means do so. Otherwise excersize patience and understanding. Nobody else will do these parts that I can see.

I find something else very interesting. I know for a fact that there are several other companies out there that take longer than they hope to get something to market and I don't see them getting targeted. Is it because I am just an average guy and the big boys seems so far out of reach?

    ZMAN,

I hope I meet you in person some day. Ever since your buddy tried to copy my product you have had a bug in your ***. Get a life because all you seem to do is follow me around and look for errors. If you are so perfect get of your *** and do it better yourself!

********... you did not create intake risers... they have been around for a long time, longer than you... Maybe you if you stopped ripping people off and lt lying about it every step of the way... as for the meeting me, is that some kind of threat? You need to get over yourself... you have ripped people off and lied to others... it'll always catch up to you... Is the bellhousing done or not? Is the package shipped or not? What's the excuse of the week? Your back? Your kid? Your lack of help? UPS returned the package? See I'm not the one always hocking my wares and not delivering. You are. You've done this **** to many times... You've copied other people's products and then when someone comes out with one similar to yours you cry like a 5 year old... The word is out....

Why don't you get on a plane and come see for yourself; Because it's to easy to hide behind your computer and run your mouth. It's all you have. You can't even finish one car and you want to talk trash on me. Before mine there was no nailhead intake riser (fact). I do more in a week then you have done in a year. All my parts are form new molds. If you come to the shop you would see that. But again, It is easier to sit there and talk ****. You're just a big mouth with a small mind

Don't know you, man, don't use your stuff. But the consensus seems to be there's a communication deficit. If you've got the stuff, send it. If you don't have the stuff, refund the people's money and then have them re-order it when you do.
    Simple.

My feeling of this board is a HAMBer's word should be his bond. Everyone gets into stuff over their heads, but people understand. What's needed here is not accusations or explanations or promises, but a report of you the supplier completing one single deal to the satisfaction of the recipient.

You've got work to do,friend. Good luck with your family we hope they are all safe.

I'm not wasting my money on you... And I'm not hiding behind my computer... Unlike you hiding behind lies and deceit... If you feel like such a big man come here... And you take potshots at me taking my time with my Buick, but then again you never saw the four door, ot the 58 and 59 truck, or the Rambler, or the LeMans or any number of other cars I've finished, let alone the bikes... Yeah you tell more lies in a week then I've ever tols. How come it's the same couple of cars on your website since you put it up? Never anything new or different.... And there were Nailhead risers before you, I saw them CNC'ed in the late 80's, the first Electronic Fuel Injection I saw for a Nailhead was in the late 80's on a set of risers that were made. Jim made his by simply tracing an intake gasket and CNC'ed them. Where the **** is your Patent? I know it's a lie, I've searched the database... It's not there, neither issued or applied for... You talk a good game but you've been caught up in your lies time and time again. Here, on the Yahoo list, on v8buick.com... Every time someone has a problem you have a convenient excuse, and then you claim they're lying... ********... And now we find out you ripped people off in Cali before moving North... Doesn't surprise me at all.... And nice on the rip off logo... Who's next on the list?
