This is last time I will post tot his thread.

I did not swap for an auto adapter, He asked for it! As far as the rest. Anybody from the hamb can come by here and i will be happy to hand them the files. The more I have to deal with the stupid **** from Zman the less I get done and frankly it isn't worht it. If you don't like me or trust me don't do business with me. If you want the parts but don't trust me then get them from one of our dealers. I started a thread with a pic of the mold so it shows how close we are and I have said this over and over again.I also noticed that there are 4,000 hits on this thread and only 260 on the bellhousing pics which tells me that the majority just wants to ***** or watch the drama.

I have work to do so if you want to sit here and ***** then do it.

I've ordered from Marty only once. Got some linkage for my Flatty and he shipped them on his own dime next day!! I've talked to him several times and he's always top notch on the phone.
R&D takes time and he obviously wants a top-shelf part for his customer sand that might take some time.

No, dude, I really want to see this turn out good.....for the customer AND you.

Why? Because I have a 322 nailhead on the way as soon as I go get it. I know nailhead stuff is hard to find. So, I always had in the back of my head that I would come straight to you. You're a fellow HAMBr and have some hard to find nailhead parts.... pretty logical. Also, I was talking to some nice guy the other day at a cruise in about his nailhead. He's not a HAMBr nor a computer user and I directed him to your place of business. I keep holding out HOPE that this all works out........that's why the high # of views.....

I know things get misconstrued in the retail world but this seems to be a pattern. Besides, the issue is done for if you took their money with the promise of parts being delievered......not for research and development, then send it.....no way.....

I hate drama threads, but sometimes they are MUCH needed.

I sure hope not. You still haven't answered me.

    I repeat:
Will they be shipped by Billetproof or what?

    Thank you.

Man I just want to say hang in there to Marty I got a 401 and I'll keep you in business alone with the way I drive I break **** all the time you and my wallet are going to be friends. Anyhow sorry Zman can't shut the **** up sounds like a drama queen to me, any one that works on a computer all day probably never worked a day in his life. I for one work in a steel forge, similar to casting, and it is very hard work to turn out a quality part something that you feel safe about your customer using and being happy with. So good luck with this and the dash panels look killer!

ive watched many a die and machine shop lose their ***es trying to make things right, but some points to consider are...

don't ever commit to a deadline you can't make. you have to be reasonable, especially with your own self.

make sure your piece is done when it's DONE. dont proclaim to a customer that it is complete, in the shop, or even 90%. call them when it's done.

don't introduce a prototype for m*** consumption, even though you may need the capital to get it going. i watched a man squander his whole life savings (and several other's too) on a damn FM radio 2-way transmitter. he got ate up by the costs of the constant modifications it took to make it perfect and it tanked out in the real word because of cell phones.

try to do everything in house even if that means paying a decent wage to a guy who knows what the hell he's doing and buying the proper equipment to do it with.

get contracts and stick to them. if youre getting screwed by a vendor, screw him right back in court. if they wont sign, then you dont work. in todays age, compe***ion is tough as nails, you have to have back ups.

be aware that someone out there is probably doing the same thing you are, so you have to be better at it. if youre not, word will get out fast and then youll be in the dirt for sure.

i guess this would work for anything that a person can make from manifolds to mayonaise. ive just seen a lot of good shops die in this area because they tried to business with a handshake and someone always wound up hurt, wether it be the customer or the owner of the business.

  10. Nice how this guy says OP asked for the auto adaptor, goes on to say he won't post to the thread again, and never answers the question about the money.

I have no doubt that the fact is he doesn't have the money. He paid it out to some bill or other, and it's gone. Thats what happens when you run a business with little to no capital. Thats why I try not to get too far over my head on stuff, sometimes I end up with no money to ship people's stuff to them let alone ever try to refund a purchase. He'll have to hook someone else to get enough money to refund anything, but odds are it will go to the casting people first - you end up an unwitting investor as he puts the money that comes in towards the big banana, the manual bellhousing, figuring when they're done he'll make a zillion bucks and can refund etc. and make everyone happy then.

****ty way to do business on this kind of scale... my $0.02. I'd rather pay a local guy for a '56 parts car with a manual trans than mess with this kind of deal.

Make promises sparingly and keep them religiously, always keep people informed, never let a bad situation turn worse, I cemented some of my best customer relations over how I dealt with a comeback. I hope you get through this and can hang in there.
