Hey guys, first off let me say thanks in advance for even taking the time to read this and put us in your thoughts.

Last Thursday my wife started going into labor. Normally that isnt too bad of a thing but she is only 22 weeks pregnant. And on top of this we are having twins, so doubly bad. Well she drove down to the hospital cause I was at work. I left work immediately and met her down there where they were giving her medication to stop the pregnancy and getting her ready to be Air Med'ed into Salt Lake City, where they could better handle any kind of complications. So she flew in and so did I only in my car!
When I got there, she was going into and ultrasound where they discovered that one of the twins had way too much amiotic fluid and was taking up all the room in there. The other was crammed against the wall not even being able to move. The doctors gave us all the things that we could do and what the outcomes may be and asked us to decide which course to take. We decided to remove some of the fluid and so they did that. 2 and a third LITERS later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they were back to normal levels, well at least for that twin (we'll call him "baby A" for times sake) Baby B was low on fluid but that was ok cause he had room to actually get some now.
So after the first night the fluid levels were equal, and both babys were kicking it old school style, and we did another ultra-sound and found that Baby A was having heart problems. He kinda went into a shock that we took away his big ass swimming pool! So we have to talk with a baby cardiologist on tuesday about that.
So please keep my wife and our boys in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you guys and gals this means alot to us.

  2. You got my thoughts and prayers, I really hope it all works out to the best for all four of you.

I've been in a deep funk for a week or so, yelling at everyone, stompin' around the house.....

Reading this makes me realise what it is I actually have.

I'll be going home today and hugging my three little guys and putting you and yours in our prayers tonight.

You and your wife keep your chins up, my wife and I just had our first baby 7 weeks ago, she was premature and had some troubles and we were scared to death. It all worked out fine, the current medical technology is amazing. I'll be thinking of you guys.

Prayers are going out as we type. There is nothing more precious than mom and those boys right now. Put them both in God's hands and he will do the best by them. He will also lift you up if you ask and this trying time is the right time to ask. Keep us informed as to how things go. You've got a big family here praying for you.

My girl came at 27 weeks (1lb 9oz). It's amazing what they can do with early pre-term babies now. We brought her home two months later at 4.5lb and now she's a smart, healthy 22lb 2.5 yr-old. Honestly, the hardest part was when we brought her home and lost our 24-7 nursing care.:D ;)

Best piece of advice I got was this:
There's a lot of things that can happen. Focus on the things that ARE happening and forget about the things that MIGHT happen.

You sound like you have the right attitude. Keep it up. Best thing in the whole entire experience is kangaroo care. We started at 5 days old once she was off the respirator. With 2 you and mom get to do it at the same time. Even more cool.

  29. I have 2 friends, whom both have had problems with their twins. Despite a few years of hi-maintenance, all 4 kids seem to be doing well. Medical bills went through the roof for one couple, but again time seemed to heal all wounds. How can you put a price on successfully raising your children. May God bless you and your family.:)
Just returned from working the premier event at Miller Motorsports Park. I see you live nearby, hope the two boys can grow up to enjoy this wonderful facility with their Dad.
