Just wondering what plugs I should run for my 64 283 2bbl dual exhaust that burns oil? Thanks in advance...

Oh yeah, I still run points...

It doesn't make much difference--if it blows oil so bad that it's fouling the plugs, a heat range or two hotter is still going to oil foul. Those damned nice "nonfoulers" that screwed into the head and kept the plug out of the oil fog are some help, but you really need to take care of the problem.

The 327 in my '63 Impala has over 233,000 miles on it and burns a lot of oil. I used to foul plugs quite regularly with stock (Autolite 303) plugs, even while using STP gas treatment and Bardahl No Smoke.

About 4 years ago, I switched to Delco R46SZ hotter burning marine plugs, and I continued using the STP gas treatment and Bardahl No Smoke. This cured my fouling problem.

Last weekend, I drove the car on an 800 mile road trip (Phoenix, San Diego, Long Beach and back) at 75 mph on the highway on plugs that have been in the car for at least 6 months. I had to stop every 120 miles to add two quarts of oil and 10 gallons of gas, but I never fouled a plug.
