He never did tell me if it was front or rear. Not sure if I have it right side up IMG_20230819_150303221_HDR.jpg IMG_20230819_145851023_HDR.jpg

I think I did flip it around.
Is there a difference between the front and rear?
Do I need a front one on the front of my 47 Ford etc

I think the rear bumper wraps around further, but I am not sure what you need for the front of your car

It's a custom. Do it upside down.

Is there enough space to open the trunk?

I just remember that the first thing guys did with real customs in the 50's and 60's was take those guards off and toss them in the s**** bin. I may be getting too old but cannot figure out why guys now thing that hanging **** on their cars is customizing. They may as well just go to Autozone and buy chrome plastic stick on portholes and be done with it.

It's wide lip up but on a 49 Plymouth I'd be hard pressed to tell if there is a difference between front and rear bumpers on the regular cars.
I've got what I believe is a front bumper for the front of my 48 and a 49 Plymouth Suburban rear bumper for the back. Someone had already trimmed the Suburban bumper a bit for clearance on somethign it didn't come on.

It obviously has to sit several inches lower and may have to be narrowed a tad yet. 1949-plymouth-special-deluxe.jpg 1949-plymouth-special-deluxe (1) rear.jpg

There is room to open it. If it get the bumper much closer then there may be issues.
