Points ignition question

    Well, there is a soldered joint between two of the terminals. :)

    You're sure it's one coil per plug? If so, I am not sure why it would fire two at a time. Do you have a pic or part number for the coil pack?

    Mr Mazza,
    The stock Ford coil on plug is the configuration. The coils are 'saturated' and then grounded to fire them. I used a MegaSquirt ECU which was setup in this fashion.

    Oh. Coils on plugs then? Hmm, I don't know why that system would fire 2 at once. I know more about the waste spark systems with a single coil pack with paired plugs.

    I've got a couple of dump truck loads of air cooled VW parts. Been trying to get rid of them for years. Nobody wants them.

    If they were made before 1957 bring them to my land fill at Hershey.
