If you want them polished, first take them apart. Then have all the arms and do -dads chromed, then take the bodies to any polisher. Take the cast iron bottoms and paint them any color. Put them back togeather and they will look great for a while. The main bases will go dull after a while.--TV
get a kitchen scourer some fine steel wool, we have Jex brand in OZ some autosol, or equivalent aluminium polish and do it yourself! your fingers will ache, your arm's and elbows will get sore, but you will probably do a better job as its your carbs. They look fantastic when done, dont know how long they will stay that way tho
just do it yourself....put a buffin wheel on your grinder and go at it...they won't take long, they are made out of soft metal
I used a dremel to polish my Carter 625. It already had a shiny silvery finish, I just got rid of the scuzzy brownish color. Cone-shaped attachments enabled me to do it without any dis***embly. Just make sure to tape over or otherwise seal up all the holes.
My Rochesters lasted about two days. As soon as I ran gas thru them and started the motor,it was dullsville.
