lets see if i can remember how to post pics.... should be the front end shot, got the hoood shaved, and ditched the mirrors. Waiting to get to the door handles. Lots of paint stripping still going on. Hey luckystiff, remember what this looked like before? The car had been hit back here and the passenger side of the trunk was pushed in a few inches and was box shaped instead of tapering, the inside tail light housing was rolled inward as well, teh trunk is almost done and the tail light housing is still being roughed in, molding the tail lights in too. just a shot of the back, lots more too do.... shot of the shop, got my car, a 70 hemicuda, 54 chevy, 51 Ford truck, 70 nova, and alot of of new crap in there right now.
dammit. i knew that was gonna happen....and i can't find the pic posting thread... somebody tell me what the hell i did wrong and I'll go back and fix it. I used to have this down, but it's been awhile.
not fixed yet, but I think I got the problem figured out (breather hose clogged, of the filter on it) I'll get it taken care of before it's back on the road. The nova ain't mine, only the poncho. some guys brought it in Monday night, we came in tuesday morning and found 4 kittens meowing their asses off under the back seat, with their eyes barely open. At least it wasn't another racoon.... i just noticed the second pic is only half way showing, what the hell is that about?
j, damn you people with good air supply source and lots of time. you are ahead of me on the plymouth. sort of. i gotta decide what i'm gonna do on the side trim. may be welding up a bunch of trim holes if i can't find the trim i'm lookin' for. still shootin for goodguys. don't know if i'll make it. Oct is a big month with lots of shit going on with me. still haven't hit those two yards over your way. no time, but i gotta make time so i know what i'm doing trim wise as i move to the body hopefully within the next week or so.(hope to have the roof and possibly the int. sprayed by then) i've been slack a few days and have to pull doubles in a couple weeks which will kill most of the work time for that week. car pretty much has to be in paint by the 19th of oct to have plenty of time to do the other things such as reassembley and dropping and working out a few bugs. really needs to be the week before that. i guess if i fall behind and don't finish it i'll just bring the buick down for GG, but i want to bring this car. keep bustin ass on that thing your making good progress. when you wanna lay out the roof on that beast. i still gots ideas pumpin in my head for it. let me know if you want help. i've mocked up a couple different layouts for the plymouth while takin' a break. still can't decide. full on watson job or just nice mild scallops. talk to you soon...ken....
nah, i wouldn't weld up the back doors on a car unless i planned on going through all the trouble of lenthening the front door so it would look like a real tudor. I woulda thought about it if it was a 4-door post car, but then again I probaly wouldn't have getten it if it was a 4-door post. The hardtop make the two extra door alright with me. I doubt the guys selling that nova, he got a new rear end with air ride shocks on it and a motor waiting. Theres almost a never ending supply of nova's around here, or least it seems that way.
hey lucky, I'm not gonna be able to afford any crazy shit lik ei first wanted to do, Just gonna do the body blue (i wanna find out what color blue is on the 57 Ford in the Strangers car club, it's the exact color i want), with a sliver/silver flake roof, dash and window moldings. I wanna do a mild scallop job, but i can't decide on a layout. I just decided on the scallops since i was given the number of a local guy who does striping. I'm gonna call him and see if i can check out some things he's done. Can you get any pics of the plymouth? i wanna see what the things lookin' like. You should let it be the subject for the hamb chop we been talkin about....and stop stressing about having it all purdy for GG, get it in primer and drive it if ya can't finish it. Driving it's the most important thing right?
nice job justin, what's the story with the shoebox? (not that I should ask since i stopped looking at mine )
the shoebox is still around, it's just in storage at a buddies house. Not forgotten about, it's just on the back burner for awhile, while i do some money makin'. Trying to get some things going doing custom body work, but i gotta get this car done so i can show off a little of what i can do. I'm gonna make a "shop" logo and stuff to stick on the back window when i get it done.
