I don't think anybody makes one for these. I could be wrong though..... Seems like everyone I know with the kingpin front end cuts the springs or has lowering springs made.

Fatman doesn't sell a dropped spindle, but dropped uprights instead for Pontiacs. Under trick ifs parts.

You can drop the front a bit by simply dropping the spring pocket on the lower A arm. They're riveted on, just make a spacer.

A friend of mine has a *****in 57 safari... and it has one of the coolest stances I have ever seen without the use of bags or IFS.

I just picked up a 49 Olds rag top... and was talking with him about how he lowered his wagon...

he re-worked the a-arms in order to use tri-five spindles.... he told me it wasn't a that big of a job, then again he just retired and sold his company, valley auto accessories and is a true craftsman when it comes to custom one off items. (He is like one of those chip foose kind of guys if you know what I mean....)

So I don't know what all it takes to do this.

But he did tell me to come out to his shop he has photos etc... and would explain to me how re-work the a-arms to accept the Chevy spindles. he was saying the nicest thing about using the chevy spindles was that way you can update to disc brakes or drop spindles if you want, everything is available for them.

PM me so I don't forget... and I will try to get out to his place asap.

Tim did you ever find something for your 51? I’m building a 49 right now that’s on air and needs custom spindle/uprights to lay frame when parked as intended. I’m considering cutting & welding my original uprights as Fatman is out of business and no one else seems to be offering the service.

Former FatMan employee, Keith, has the designs and is building the uprights.

He has a page on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/share/16sMXz8Jsc/
