I like old stuff that is still working after all these years. That's all I know about the subject.

I like the way a wood screen door on a spring sounds when it snaps back closed. The ticking of my dashboard clock when I remember to wind it. The way my old cabinet mounted can opener still works after nearly 60 years. I can do without having to defrost the freezer.

Personally I would never replace an old whatever if it's still working. If one finds a car with no front half, I suppose a MII is as good of a replacement as any to get it back on the road.

I get my kicks now a days knowing I'm running around with my brights on and nobody knows it. (6 volt if you haven't figured that one out)
