    Man that chop is insane.

Personally I think it needs a Model A visor, it looks a tad awkward with the different heights of the windshield and side window openings. But cool!

I agree, find a good-running Poly for it. You won't even have to rebuild it and it will be DIRT cheap...

i want one of these now

  5. It looks real good. rear view is just plain bitchen. I'd look for a header out of another car to put in, that would really straighten out the windshield issue.

using a model A visor was always part of the plan, i am going to go with a plexi windsheild in a similar style to the chrisman coupe (basically just screwed into place) and i think when i start fitting the visor it will take care of that funky look that it has now. either way its going to get taken care of.

Nice car Erik, too bad you won't fit in it after it's done and you'll have to sell it to me.

haha, there might be some truth to this as i was sitting in it yesterday thinking about the channel and wondering if i am even going be able to run a roof insert like i had planned, not to mention that i also plan on reversing the firewall lol. by the time im done with it the seating position might be so layed back that i might fall asleep driving it :D

as far as updates, i havent been keeping up with taking pictures. and all i have really been doing is repairing all the rust and rot, i have the doors repaired so far and that was the hardest part to do as the pass side was rotted up to the bottom hinge inside and out so i had to build a new inner structure as well as making an outer door skin patch. i would also like to say that the all the little dents made from the birdshot from the bastard that decided to shoot the doors with a 12gauge were a pain in the ass to take out, picture using a small ball-pin hammer and dolly and you get a slight idea of how teadious this was. i really wish i had an english wheel so i could have just made a door skin. and i just started on repairing the rear quarters and i cut out most of the inner fenders since i wont be needing them as the axle is going to sit so high. i will try to take some pictures later today, hopefully i will have the drivers side quarters done by then.

WOW, that is just way too cool, like I've said, anything worth doing is worth over doing. Really look forward to seeing the progress. It's good for some of us to see stuff like that come together to give us ideas of what can be done.

as promised heres some updated shots, like i said not too much going on other than alot of progress on the rust repair. decided on keeping some of the bullet holes on the drivers side, gives it some character and makes it look like the car was involved in a mob hit :D

That last pic looks like the car is hauling ass , like the roof is peeling back from going warp speed . I dig the different level of the windshield in relation to the doors.

  24. While I didn't read all the posts/replies, it looks great and has cool beltlines, the thing screams out to be not chanelled on a deuce frame to me....

I might set that firewall back also, that last 3" makes it look long, but what do I know....

    Good luck. :)

well its been alittle while since i have made an update, i have been making slow progress lately but its progress none the less. i finished welding the top back on and the patch panels that i made, spent an entire day grinding 100 feet of welds, also made all the little filler pieces to match up all the bodylines. today was one of the most productive i have had in awhile. i brought the roof down to bare metal and welded the roof panels to the windsheild header, worked some more dents out of the roof. cut the firewall out and started the reversing process, i think it looks alot better and it shortened up the cowl about 5 inches. i have a filler piece that was made from a camaro roof that looks like its going to fit nicely

I shreaked when I saw the tape off and how much you were going to cut, I thought you were nuts. But after seeing it done, it actually looks pretty good. Way too much for my tall ass though. :)
