Pop progress: new firewall.

    Hey, I been doing a couple of hours a night on my Ford Pop.
    I settled on a Rover Metro pedalbox, and then realised I did not have a firewall to attach them to.
    Using the old cardboard template then remake in steel routine, I fabbed up a collection of pieces, all fixed together with a spot welder.
    The tricky part was the area around the Anglia steering column.
    The top pieces need to be done next, plus I might run a piece of rectangular tubing along the top profile to add more strength.

    Yes the centre part is from the old lockers I made Old rusty's floor from.

    Sure is, Nads.
    It fits.
    Alfa motor didn't.
    Here's this afternoon's progress:

    (In the above photo the dipstick was bent so it is accessible through the triangular gap between the brace and the new firewall.)(right side of photo, dipstick can't quite be seen).

    And the top plate of the Metro pedal box modified so it sits flat rather than curving up at the back. Tubular part is for the clutch cable.
