In another thread, Nads requested pics of the Pop Ute in my avatar. Here are a couple. It started as a fairly nice stocker. It now sits on a Morrison chassis. Wheels are ETIII with Radir cheaters on the rear and Coker bias plys on the front. It's in progress and actually further along than these pics show. I'll post more when it's finished with build pics if it's not too OT.

That's badass! I love the tacks in the interior. I thought it looked a little too volkswagon-y (for the record, I love all the VW shit) until I decided to do some Googles/research ...

It sure does seem like it would be easy enough to clone one using Beetle sheet metal though. HMMM.... the wheels are-a turnin'!

  3. Don't see one of those everyday!!! Actually I have never seen one. Looks neat.

You probably won't se too many of them, at least in the states anyway. I don't know how many of them are left in Australia though.

OT??!? Good Lord, man, an early Ford is an Early Ford, even if it isn't full grown! Neat car!

Cool as heck, thank you for the pics. Nice job.
Did you buy the car at The Turkey Rod Run several years ago?

Yea, that's the guy. He wasn't all that thrilled about the plans for it, but he was a pretty good sport about it. I'm not sure he really believed that I was gonna hack it up. He said that there are only about 7 of those in the U.S.

That thing is pretty damn cool for an El Camino :D

  14. Here is a roadster pickup Ute a buddy in Vancouver area imported and built several years ago. He rodded it with a 4 banger. Supposedly only about 6 were known to exist in Australia when he got it. It originally had a wooden flatbed behind the cab. Pat. [IMG][IMG]
