was thinking about unvieling my rod at the mooneyes Xmas show. And oh yeah its not done yet. its on four wheels, but does not run...probably about 50 % done.So i dont know if i should show everyone the inbetween stages or just wait till next year(bout when its ready). So what do you guys think? should I push it off the trailer and let everyone stare at my horrible welds!!! or hide it till its done? Oh yeah if it does go..I might call on some HAMBers to help push!!!
I say show it as is...Im in the same situation, trying to get mine "drivable" for the Mooneyes show. You won't be alone!!
Show it, people love the half done piles on 4 tires as much as the the nicely painted, completed, running rods. Besides a little constructive criticism before its finished couldnt hurt. Scott
Sorry forgot to say its a 30 Model A coupe. Chopped 5 1/2 and channeled 6 inches over a Zed Model a frame with a Caddy 331 and T5. Motor is finished, but not running. Maybe ill bring it out...Gonna take alot of pushing
yes, but now the motor makes its own noise... ya hear me Larry? Larry? LARRY!!! LARRY SHUT THE MOTOR OFF AN PUSH YOUR CAR OUTSIDE SO WE KIN SEE IT!
Well, this thread was NOT what I thought it was gonna be about! That said, lemme be in the minority. I say hold out.
... ...yeah, but we got the brake system all done and we're thinkin' about firin' it up and drivin' it in a few days...
