Thanks a lot guy, really means a ton! It kind of freaks me out to look at the "done" pictures of it. You get used to seeing in your mind in the build mode, it's tough to grasp the fact that it's the same car.

Boones, the body does look stretched a little in the side view pic, but its not. I believe it is just a Speedway body though. I do know it is the same length as my brothers bucket .

4t64rd, I definitely hope to see you, & some other hamber's too!

Haha, heres the only other pics I can find now. The frame before all the crossmembers, a couple mock up pics. It always seems like you are SO close when you put the body on the frame for the first time:rolleyes:

    Damn!
    NICE T.

Has such a pure...uncluttered look to it.
Sometimes the beauty is in what you DON'T bolt onto your car...and you guys proved it with this one! ;)

Awesome! I have followed the build of both cars on the NTBA website and these are two of the cleanest T Buckets I have ever seen and trust me, I've been studying and dreaming T Buckets for over 30 years. VERY nice work!

Just put it together. Look at pictures of Grabowski's T, pre "Kookie" rendition. It was a Modified when first built and I still prefer it as that style.

    Dodgerodder,
This car is stunning! Wheelbase? Can you share some information about the rear tires and the windshield/frame? Any detailed pics of the front end/rear end?

I am not sure what the heck it is off of, but it is a great color. If I can scam the color I'll pm it to you Dan

I've always liked them too. They get such a bad wrap. There are unfortunately so many that miss the mark so badly that it kind of gives them a bad wrap I think. Man, 25 bucks is a great deal!

Haha me & my brother somehow got on a Mr. T kick the other night joking around. I'm trying to talk him into getting a 70's van style mural of Mr T. on the side of the body:p

That's the truth! Simple is good. It's kind of crazy how a few misplaced things can really throw a car off

Thanks man. It's kind of funny how two similar cars came out so differently

Wow, I didn't know that! I would love to see pics of that! Me & my dad still love Von Franco's recent lightnin' bug. So freaking perfect

You know I'm not sure of the exact wb, but I can measure it for you. The rear tires are Coker 10.00/15 cheaters. The ws frame is the bottom half an early dodge somethin-somethin frame, I'll ask my dad what it is exactly. I love the windshield, it really gives a different look. He fabbed up the stanchions.

Thanks Bob! I love the sound of my brother's too. It sounds really wicked in person. He finally got to take it for his first spin today, he was thrilled. Were gonna pull an all day & nighter tomorrow to hopefully wrap up the finishing stuff

Bumping this post because this car is so damn nice. I haven't been this inspired in a while, Chopped50ford if you see this, this is the interior style I am describing, I don't know if it's leather but it still embodies cl***.

That is one tight looking ride. The paint details are perfect with the chrome and spun touches. Really a beautiful T. Mad props!!

I love this car! I have like 100 "borrowed" images from another forum of this build. There is another thread about this car here on the HAMB with the link to that thread in it.

Dan, boy your dad's car really came out super. I've been following the build from the beginning both here and elsewhere, and I am just amazed how great it turned out. Wish I could be at Daytona to see the car and to finally meet your Dad, but ain't gonna happen this year. Maybe when I get town to Florida over Christmas, I might get some time to stop by. Hope the weather holds for you at Daytona, I know they are calling for some wet stuff.

Can you tell me whaat the windshield posts are? It looks like they attach to the edge of the dash, and I suppose as well to the side of the cowl. Also, did you dad use wood or steel to reiinforce the body before he had it upholstered?

I love the way the interior and the running gear match. Great colour choice for a simple, clean rod!

Thanks again guys! My dad has put about a zillion miles on his t in the past few days. He's having a blast. We are putting the finishing touches on my brothers too, it is all ready for the Turkey run too. A few minor things left, noting major though. We took them both out for a midnight spin last night, which was really nice!

Hey thanks Sawracer! Both my dad & brothers cars have been inspiring to me to, especially after getting to drive both:p
The only problem is, it raises the bar for how my rpu needs to look-I don't want to be the under-achiever haha. The interior is actually vinyl, meant to look like leather. It is really soft & comfy. The color I think was called "saddle"

Thanks Rob. Well you need to get yours out of storage and work on it-easy fix!! Yeah, I know, WAY easier said then done. At least you have it, I hope you are able to get on it soon!

Thanks Mopar34. Come on, you know you want to get away from the cold for a weekend.....Seriously, if you don't make it down now, stay in touch. Maybe Billetproof in march..........

My dad built the stanchions by cutting the stock early dodge ones off to use just the last 6" or so. Then he fabbed up pieces of plate to weld to them to mount the stanchions to the dash rail.

What you can't see in the pics is the steel structure under the cowl the all of this bolts to. Kind of hard to explain, but its simple to see it. He built a hoop from 1.5" steel tubing that ties into the firewall, and bolts to the frame along with the body. This hoop is shaped to fit the inside of the firewall.

Then there is a cage built from box tubing that welds to the hoop, and this ties into the dash. If you look at the picture on the first page of my dad's interior, you will see chrome ****on heads at the bottom of the dash. The secure the dash to the steel cage. The cage also has mounting plated welded in that the windshield posts bolt too.

It worked out real nice, and nice & strong too. It also gave him a strong mounting point for his upper steering column mount, and gas pedal too. I'll see if he could email me a pic of this, it will make WAY more sense then my ramblings:D
