I’ve been hearing mixed reviews regarding application, finish and effectiveness. I’m sure we can all agree on its workability
Used it for ten year's.... Never touch it again, It does not hold up long term... An I'm talking being painted Over with satin black under a car(Zero UV) talked with friends same deal, blasted/DA'd chassis, sitting in shop for a few months already had rust droplets forming on frame... I swore by it .... Because I read the label an people thought it was the best thing since sliced bread.... Funny thing I used to laugh at people using rustoleum, I now will brush the primer in door's, floors etc, An shoot/brush depending satin black part # 7777 lil urethane reducer Lay's out nice an leaves a perfect satin black finish that hold's up Way better than por, when blasting i use epoxy after a quick DA
Interesting. Thanks for the tech tip . I never used it yet , but wondered if it was and “end all , be all “ coating .
Not sure what the point was for original poster, whether there was a question in there or more of a statement kind of thing. The carcinogenic thing has been well explained on here. Many threads on here about this product. Google- Hamb Por
I have personally used it on freshly sandblasted parts wiped down with their specific cleaner that sat in the corner of my garage for a few years & rust started bleeding through. I’ll never use it again..... Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
I use the rust treatment sold at NAPA. It is black, you paint over the rust and it turns to a shade of purple. Stops rust. Been using it for years.
Did my front axle and wishbone after sandblasting, still looks good after ten or so years...no rust at all
