Maybe it would look better with Wide White Walls and Red wheels.

    And a Mexican blanket interior.

    And a skull shifter.

I saw it in person at SEMA. I didn't personally like it. Strange proportions. He has plenty of *****in' cars though.

Posie's "statements" have become exercises in self indulgence.

Is that not why we all build our cars "our way" !???? I didn't build my Olds this way so that anyone but me likes it........the fact that so many people do is a bonus!!!!!

    PLEASE!!!!!

Now you know that's not what i'm sayin'!!!! You built your BigOlds to indulge your own taste and sensibilities....the fact that so many of us (me included ) dig the **** out of your car and how you drive it, is just the icing on the cake!!!!

Hooray for self indulgence...But a pat on the back is pretty cool to boot!!!!

Sweetheart, you took my comment the wrong way. I was teasing you. In other words it's a good thing everyone likes your car or there would be a huge post like this with everyone giving their opinion on it....like you would care or like Posie cares about this thread. He didn't build it to please the HAMB, just like you or I didn't.

But I bet both yours and mine would be sparkling clean if it was debuting at SEMA.;):D

Sorry about that!!!!! I get that, But I also understand the logic behind the PDDT. Coker, Honest Charlie, Dynamat and all the others are just trying to show the general public that it isn't about the car show or gathering. It's about driving your car ( yeah he didn't ) and the people you meet when ya get there. Truth be known, I think Dutch let the Fleetliner go a month or more without a bath, all the while drivin' the thing almost everywhere he went.

Maybe one day I can try out some of those cookies!!!!!

i've always admired his workmanship; despised his creativity/taste (sort of the way some folks despise my workmanship/creativity/taste).

I don't know the man, but his work always interests me. I am a huge fan of cars of the cl***ic era and you will see their influence in my car. I think the earliest hot rodders felt those same influences. It would be a very bland world if everyone thought alike.

This is the only I have of the car off the trailer. We were in Prescott for a few days before going on to SEMA. I had a great time on the PDDT08 with Posie and the gang. If you ever get a chance to spend a week on the road with the tour you'll know what a hoot it is. The car has great visibility and lots of room.

[IMG]Butcher Boy, Thanks for posting the photo, best one so far. I'm sure at some point in time there will be some Rodders Journal quality shots of the car. I stlll like it, lots of time was spent stutying English coachwork from the 1928-32 era.

    Hey The37Kid,
Your welcome !! Dutch did a bang up job on this build. And after seeing it for over a week it grew on me. The longer you look at it the more stuff you see. Then you ask Posie about something you saw and he really gets into the reasons he did da da and takes the time to explain and teach. I loved it........... he's a great guy and metal working master.

Opinions are cool and everyone has one!!!! The problem that I have on this thread as well as many other threads ( and have posted comments there too ) is trash talking folks on the personal level!!!

I appreciate the work that anyone does or has done on their car!! What I won't do is call anyone an ***hole, a pussie or anything of the nature on a public forum. Save that **** for your personal conversations or send someone a PM if you must do it on this board or any other.

Part of the problem is that people don't read the entire thread before offering comments or opinions. Many of the questions have been asked and answered.

As far as the statement about not playin' in the trainwreck.....If a thread reappears and you or anyone else doesn't care about it's content don't read it and more importantly don't call me lame for contributing to a thread that I have an interest in!!!!

I'm gettin' of my soap box now!!!!
