Hey, Apleseed, it looks better in your photo-un-chop. I'm not crazy about how it looks in the unmodified pictures, but I don't dislike it either (the first photo-chop with the bump in the roof is hillarious though). I guess I need more time to look and make up my mind. Course it could be one of those deals where it just doesn't photograph well and looks better in person maybe?
Sorry... I do like the ones you made better than the daytons. When I posted there wasn't any close up pics of the wheels and I knew that you had made a set for him. He should have used yours. I would like to put a set of those on my rpu. I have kelseys now.
Let's start out by saying, I know no one cares what I think but here goes. I am suprised that Posie isn't a hero on this board. He has managed to combine his very talented artistic side with his love of the automobile. While some of his work might be a little over the top for the mainstream, his craftsmanship and attention to detail are second to none. I know his cars get driven. I guess this is my question, don't we always say build what makes you happy, don't build what the group says to build? Posie builds what turns him on, he stretches his imagination and trys new ideas. He is not afraid to be different. All these comments about this or that being wrong, I am sure if it was wrong to him he would have changed it, he has the talent and money to create whatever he wants. Remeber this is his dream not yours. Chuck
Yep. And since I photoshopped maybe around 6 inches max. out of the original pic, I guess that means you could be as tall as 3'10" to drive that one
I gotta agree. He started his own hot rod business and grew it to success without much help from television exposure (think about where some heros and villians would be without the boobtube). How many folks here would like to do the same. He now has the resources to try different stuff. I don't like some of it, but hey he didn't ask my opinion when he started building it. More power to him. Larry T
I never did say if I liked it or not. I not a huge fan of Posie( remember that blue torpedo looking thing?), but this ones cool. I just don't like the chop on the windshield. I'm on the fence about the wheels, but, jesus, how hard is that to change?
I dig it too, who cares what we think though? I think that he does alot of cool things, not everything is to my liking, but I am not hiring him to make a car for me. He at least gets off the beaten path, and does some creative things. So, if you don't like the thing, drive something else. I bet there are few cars out there, that if one of us got our hands on it, that we wouldn't want to change in some way. Oh, when you pony the money up to buy it, then you can change the wheels.
Are those the wheels Wheel Kid made for POSIES RPU? Kent, who the hell are you if you aren't POSIES? JH
The 'Search' function is your friend.... " Hello H.A.M.B, Todd here from POSIES. Just wanted to drop by and thank Chris50 for introducing me to this cool site. " CC
Ok Ok..points well taken everyone. However, is a flat black RPU so innovative? Has it been done to death and better by so many others? Because Posie, maker of the hideous comes close to making something that everyone else has done better, we should praise him? Hero???? you gotta do better than that. My heros are Plowboy and The Atomic Punk and Littleman's Death's Doorstep. That's somethng that has yet to be copied like a xerox 50,000 times in flat black and red, and a few years too late. Had Posies been the first flat black RPU I had ever seen, I may have stopped and looked at it, bitched about the wheels and so forth, and carried on looking for something better. Its just not innovative or ground breaking...Who knows..maybe that is the first flat black RPU you've ever seen and you're just floored by its creativity. Please. Get out more. Spike
I find it interesting that POSIES cars can cause such a downbeat buzz.. I can say I enjoy working for POSIES and look forward to getting out to see all the different cars you guys and anyone in the industry is building. Each rod, custom or whatever out there is different and shows the owners style or ideas. Aren't we Lucky???!!!!! Wouldn't it be a shame if everyone built the same stuff as thier buddy. I can honestly say I'm proud of any car that leaves this shop, but it doesn't mean I wouldn't have done something different. POSIES builds his cars the way he wants, just like you would. I guess Brookville will have to start ramping up production on RPU bodies because I can see next year we'll have a bunch out there with the correct flat black paint job, correct wheels, correct headrests, correct chop and anything else that the guy building the car wants to put into it... Todd
Hey Fent you gotta a better picture of the wheels on the dynamat car. I'd like to see what the hub looks like, it looks like the cars got disc brakes. I wonder how they would look against an early ford brake drum... I'm almost scared to post this I think you guys might beat me up!
Speed Queen is a brand of commercial washers. The next time your wife throws you out of the house and you have taken up residence at a coin-op laundromat check the names on the machines.

I've always kinda liked Posies stuff, its different. Too different for me to want to drive but there is always some inspiration there. I had one of those emblems on my roadster for a little while, seemed a little corney so I took it off.
Not Real and VERY Unrealistic....Somewhere along the line their money will collide with History.......and a True propotioned Hot Rod will emerge.....Nuff Said!
id definatly take that rpu over the roadster with the grimlock nose, though id definatly have to rip out the interior of the truck. those seats/consol make me want to gag. its a nice looking rpu with all kinds of cool details but an 89 pontiac feiro interior lol
