ok trying to work out a possible deal for hatch's xs650 bobber. having a problem with shipping. a few options i had in mind are not seeming to pan out. i know there are shippers who specialize in this, but i am on a small budget as i had no intentions of buying a "done" bike. i'd like to make it work if possible. an xs is what i'm after since a triumph is outta my range right now. anyhow Harrison can get it to me from knoxville i think if it can make it's way to tenn before he comes over for the charlotte swapmeet the second weekend in april. i know 2 weeks is a little tight but i just gotta try. any help or leads would be appreciated. thanks...ken....
I could probably find a parking spot here in central KY for it if needed, I'm just off I-75 and I-64 around Lexington KY. May be outside though but we can cover it up.
I can handle the Knoxville to Charlotte leg. Perhaps some of the GMB's led by Hotrodladycruiser are coming down to Earl Scheib's place soon. I know they've made the trip often to work on Big Olds. Seems like Mike said Denise is driving a car on these trips though. Anyway, I'll help if I can. Just let me know. JH
A few days sooner and something could have been worked out. We are leaving mid afternoon tomorrow for TN. We will be heading down mid April to pick up Big Olds and will have an empty trailer heading down. If you can wait till then I'd be happy to help.
thanks denise, i will completely keep that open as an option. not in a huge hurry or anything just saw a chance at getting another leg closer via Harrison but knoxville is only a coupla hundred miles away and a hell of alot closer than midland. if it can happen and harrison drag it over with him that would be great if not we'll see what can be done. i've gotta call hatch tommorrow(finally get off of work before 10pm) and talk the whole thing over. there's a stock xs here now in good shape supposedly the guy wants 900 for. i honestly don't know if i could get it to the level of hatchs bike for the same time and money overall. btt.... anyone else??????...ken....
