The Model A is finally to a point where I can look at it as a car. First thing I noticed was that I violated the scrub line rule-

My spindle and axle are 35/36 Ford. IIRC, the tie rod goes under the axle with later style wishbone. I never gave it a second thought and when I bent the steering arms to correct for Ackerman, I left them that way. Wiith the 32 wishbone and the shallow drop stock axle, the tie rod is actually below the bottom of the axle. The bat wings for the front shocks might be a little lower than the tie rod, but does this p*** the look right test?

In the picture, the brake drum makes it look a LOT closer than it appears, it actually looks fine compared to the actual rim of the tire.

I thought the scrub line didn't count the rim in case the wheel fell off?

If your wheel falls off, you're not gonna be worried about scrub lines.

Scrub Line is based on a flat tire.

Much more common than wheels falling off.

Tex Smiths book "How to build real hot rods" describes scrub line as the lowest point of the wheel. I'd say you have plenty of clearance.
