I'd like to start this one up. I dig HAMB era buckets, but like the ones that came later too.
I dig lots of chrome, Jag rears, wider rears, and 4 bar fronts.
Sure, when boundaries are pushed, some go over the line of taste and appeal, but that's how you know to pull back a bit and keep it real.
I'm sure there will be more opinions than posters, and some disagreement on where each person's line in the sand is and that's hopefully a good thing. We've been pretty civil in the main forums, let's keep that mindset here.

All nice! I was thinking the "Leg Show" T made the main board, but no worries.

    Great idea for a thread.
Caught this beast idling through the MSRA's Back to the Fifties Weekend a few years ago; not your normal style but I guess you could call it a "T-bucket".... ?
Whatever you call it, I sure dig it.

  9. There's a thread here on this street digger (I can't remember whose it was) but here's a shot of it at a gas station, and a couple of my shots of it at the '79 NSRA Nats.

  14. Here's my mom and dad in the mid 70's. Dad said that if he stood on it at 45 mph he could see daylight under the front wheels. He tore it down and sold the drivetrain so he could install a 255 DOHC Ford indy motor he bought from AJ Foyt's shop in 77. It stayed as a roller project from around 77 until he finally sold it in the early 2000s. He kept the Ford engine but when he died in 06 it got sold off. He stored it in our basement when I was a kid.

The wheelie bars being used as a lawn chair carrier makes quite the statement.

I will say that he made good progress, but he needs to read and understand before diving in. So many issues would have been avoided.
Not how I'd finish one, but he's got one and I don't so I have no say.

This one was for sale cheap in state. Sold quickly.
Different, but had some nice features.
Would I use that front? No, but it could be changed.

Sweet. That explains your tastes in drag cars.
