Seems there is an event in St. Louis area. Grabbed this pic from coverage over on the bucketeer site. Thanks to Spanky over there.
Top pikky was the day I hit the concrete wall at the dragstrip. The month before I had done my first (and only) 9 second run (9.95 @ 145). Sold the car on and its new owners rebuilt it and its back on the street.
Ouch! I take it you are okay. @Dave G in Gansevoort would probably like to pick you brain about a roll bar/cage. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/the-whatever-project.1207045/
I remember this guy came on and talked about this build and drive. https://www.ebay.com/itm/167849634225
One that is way off the typical build. https://classiccars.com/listings/view/1996789/1923-ford-t-bucket-for-sale-in-kentwood-michigan-49512
I'll be dipped... guy actually finished it, - or someone cloned his idea. Was a writeup/partial feature in a 1001 Rod& Custom Ideas in the 80s(?). Don't have the mag at my fingertips. Nose & sidepods look abit different than I remember, but still... I like it. Bet that'd be a fun ride... Looks like some passengers did some serious*****-clenching... . Marcus...
I figured I'd show this one, since it's Published back in the day. https://classiccars.com/listings/vi...el-t-for-sale-in-kelseyville-california-95451 Are you about nostalgic hot rods? The one and only Golden State T is available. Famous show and magazine car driven all over the U.S. throughout the 40s 50s 60s & 70s. First time on the market in over 75 years. Sporting a supercharged small block and polished Jaguar rear suspension & differential. Comes with a room full of trophies and memorabilia. Clean California****le in hand.
This one is also an old build recently restored with a steel body and for those who must have a Ford in a Ford, it's got that too. Looks nice, but I don't know if the market will support that price. https://classiccars.com/listings/vi...-bucket-for-sale-in-carlsbad-california-92009
@swade41 that one sure is different. Interesting, 340 wasn't out in 64, so that's an update, rare to supercharge a SBM due to 4 bolts per cylinder, and an 871 plus nitrous! The drag history is very neat.
I know that people build stuff to their own standards. I hear some ask about R&P steering for a T. I offer this as an example of what I'd personally consider a poor integration of it to a T. You do yours how you want. I will judge you on how it's done, though. BTW, this one is posted in the off topic CL FB listing post. I think it's cheap enough to be a viable project for someone, but it needs some changes. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...marketplace-cars.1316656/page-5#post-15737555
I really don't like Shorts, but saw this one and figured I'd share one. https://www.youtube.com/embed/qNu-x-l1q9c
