One from Watson Lake today. He's got a YouTube channel documenting stuff done. Pretty wild. www.youtube.com/user/TheMykkH/videos
A bit more ugly wiped off. This is just getting the spray paint off, it will need full body work after the floor is redone, but the lines are crisper. Small steps.
When I was 12 or 13 years old (probably around 1990ish) I started reading old Rod & Custom magazines, All the issues I had were from 1968 through 1973 as they were my dads before he had a wife and kids and looking at those magazines and wearing the covers literally off of them really helped develop my love for hot rods especially C cabs, phone booths and wild t buckets, the photo of your C cab patty wagon still gives me that same feeling I got when I was 12 and it's making me think I really need to build one, I think at 46 it's time.
Careful, the sickness runs deep! Now is a good time to really keep an eye on the market. Depending on finances, winter is the best time to find your project. Fewer people shopping and less demand = lower prices. If you don't have massive funds to get the exact perfect combo, you will also need to decide on what's important and what will work for you.
There's a local guy that is building a T too. He's mostly done, doing final details. He prefers to have the car 'finished' before taking it out. I am of the mindset that I'm going to enjoy it and make changes when it's feasible. There's room for both styles. In my case, I wonder if it's due to always having old used stuff. That and growing out of caring how others see me. I will mention the windshield will have to go up or down, depending on how much higher the seat ends up. Right now, I hunch to see through. Yes, the wheelie bar brackets will be cut off and the panhard replaced. RPM has a $90 kit. Just need to have it welded in.
This guy found this metal flake blue T in Jersey at an estate sale for $6500, other than that scoop I like it.
It's rather tall and no support on it like a column drop, right off the steering box and up ! I believe Hal-craft front rims and radir rears that was all on it already, he plans to go through the car mechanically and re-chrome the chrome.
@BigJoeArt is doing that in his thread. Here's one that is priced lower than most. It has some questionable details, but it gets you in the car and on the road. https://elpaso.craigslist.org/cto/d/silver-city-1923-tbucket/7781589234.html
23 T Bucket - $4,500 (Splendora) https://houston.craigslist.org/cto/d/spring-23-bucket/7781412799.html
Just commented on that one in the other thread. Even cheaper than what I paid, but you'd have to go through everything judging from the rust outside. Lack of title along with this being tucked in a poor storage situation raises concern, but so long as the buyer can deal with the paper and isn't going for a pristine show rod, it could be lots of fun.
@Atomic Reverend Alexander here's another up from you that's priced lower than normal. 14.5 hours, a thousand miles... It was listed a while back, popped up again. Price out a front and rear suspension, steering, axles, a body and windshield and you are still a drivetrain, chassis and misc. away and close to that price. https://portland.craigslist.org/yam/cto/d/lafayette-1923-ford-bucket/7783310749.html
