It turned out decent i guess. I just really liked the photo so i was trying to remove the torn area's so i could save it on my hard-drive

Wow a Muntz Jet as a push car now that is cool, of the car being pushed is pretty cool too!

 

Don't think anyone has posted the famous picture of Grabowski at the drive-in from the Aprill 57 issue of Life magazine.

I also really like the picture of "Ye Olde Hot Rod Shoppe" Dick Hollands garagefrom the November 1945 issue of Life magazine.

This is a perfect hotrodding picture.

 

I know one of the guys in the four dragster shot his name is AJ, he lives in Visalia CA and man can he tell some stories, he also owns and use to drive the #2 Hawaiian Dragster. Thanks Beatnik for that photo it is a classic.

One of these days I will scan all the old pictures I got from Frank Mack,... ( My scanner is busted right now). that's what happned to the Durban Sinister Gasser ,.......... and Bob Vivians 31 AV-8, summer 1953 after a accident on 9 Mi. rd. that's Franks trailer and yard,.. on Randall & 8 Mi. road, Farmington Mi.

 

The first of these is Bob Pierson, towing the Pierson Bros' famous '34 with his previously famous '36 -- also a lakes racer.

The second is a guy who still had a lot to learn about pants cuffs, Stroker caps, and steering geometry.

 

Hot rods....cool chicks.....

 

Here are the only ones I have of my first Hot Rod, A 39 Ford Deluxe coupe with a 3/4 flatty.





















Note the chrome column and heater box and the filled ashtrays on the 40 dash.
I sold the car in Milwaukee Wisconsin back in 1957. I wonder if it is still around?
