Just wanted to give DFW local and not so local HAMB members a heads up that I'm going to be having a little BBQ, beer drinking, and bullshit party tomorrow after the Pate swap meet. Don't show up until 6 or so, bring a chair if you want to sit, and bring a few beers or your favorite beverage. Food will be provided on a first come/first serve basis. The weather looks like it's going to be nice tomorrow afternoon and night. Here are directions from Texas Motor Speedway: Exit the parking lot on HWY 114. Go under the underpass and go north (left) onto I-35. The next exit after getting on the interstate is FM 1171 Flower Mound/Lewisville. Take that exit and go east (right). You will go about three miles and cross railroad tracks and go straight through the stoplight at HWY 377. Go about two more miles through an S curve, and turn right onto 'Old Crosstimbers' as you start up the first hill. Follow Old Crosstimbers around and you'll go straight to the house. Can't miss it. The address is 9225 Choctaw Trail, Flower Mound if you want to mapquest it. There's plenty of parking and plenty of room...so come on out. The last party I had has kind of become infamous for various reasons...I expect this one to be just as good. -Brian Bass
An added bonus: The person who ends up with the best score at the swap meet wins an autographed photo of Dusty "the Kartbreaker", suitable for framing.
H KID- "the best score at the swap meet" doesn't include the Dairy Queen summer teeth girls!!!! I want Dusty to autograph my ass! HC
I'm still planning to go to Pate...even if I go alone...but I'd like to try and make it to the get together, or "afterparty"... We'll see!! later
it was cool to be able to put a face with the name. good to meet ya, bro. i didn't find anything the last two days, but we'll see tomorrow. all i got today was an awesome sunburn!! matt
[ QUOTE ] Hope no one gets shot this year. [/ QUOTE ] I managed to walk around all day friday and didn't shoot a single person... BASS...It was good to meet you guys...Sorry I couldn't make it to the party... JP
No Hambers got shot this year, but some low-life scumbag son-of-a-bitch shot the dog with a pelet gun! (not while we were there) Wish we could have found out who it was! Well, the swap meet was somewhat un-eventful. It was windy, cloudy and cold... but it didn't rain.... The big purchase of the day was a go-kart that a bunch of us chipped in on for little Connor Kirk (50ford's nephew). After getting the go-kart over to Bass' house and making a few minor mods (cutting the top of the roll cage off, moving the seat back) we threw Connor on his new hot rod and set him loose in the back-yard and O MY GOD! I have not laughed so hard in my whole life! Let's just say.. a hot rodder is born... This guy had the gas hammered down the entire time! He was screaming at the top of his lungs all the way around the yard... O, and the sky's cleared up in the evening, Bass made some dead animal on the grill and we all drank a little too much! Here are some pics.... Dad modifying the Kart...
Had to take this cool shot of Connor with the snake..... This kid has no fear whatsoever... last pic... thank's Bass for letting us tear your shit up..... HC
I feel violated for some reason...I got some kind of special K treatment for celeb guests or something.
Look at Cobbler Hambin' it up for the camera. He's such a sweety. If I wasn't on probabation, we'd of had alot of fun. Sorry I missed it!
That was friggin hilarious....My stomach hurt from laughing so hard....that kid was screaming for a solid 5 minutes! Well, that go kart and Conner's face made the trip to Pate & Bass's well worth it. Sorry I had to split early, but it was good to meet everyone...
Where are the pics of all the drunks rideing the gocart.I know you guys squeezed in and rode it. Killer cart I'm sure he was having a blast.
[ QUOTE ] Where are the pics of all the drunks rideing the gocart.I know you guys squeezed in and rode it. [/ QUOTE ] Funny you should say that. I took it out on the street and rode the hell out of that thing. Had to use my hands for the foot controls cause my legs were folded up kinda tight. Kinda like that boy with the Merc was later that night! keven
Keven.... I am pissed that I didn't get a pic of you ride'n that sucker.... I guess that I should have stopped rideing the mini-b and picked up the camera! I would have liked to have seen you ride it BEFORE we took the top roll bars off.... HC
Also... just so you guys know... I had sent Bass a copy of the flyer that I made for the party. The original plan was to post them up in all of the port-o-pots at PATE. I thought that since I spent like 3 weeks and countless hours photoshopping (no not really) on this project I should post it for all to enjoy.... HC
It was supposed to be top secret. I am slowly modifying and upgrading it to make it look like an Econoline van. Thanks to everyone that came out...we'll probably do it again after Goodguys in October. Mark your calendars!
