I did a search and didn't find anything. Here's all I got right now that's H.A.M.B. friendly. Most of my 1:18 scale stuff was stolen when our place was broken into....:( I'm slowly trying to rebuild my collection... Here's something to start us off :

Damn, that sucks that they stole yolur die cast. But they must have really been dumb crackheads because don't they know you can't sell die cast cars right now even if you wanted to.

Pretty sure it was kids. Probably took 'em to keep. Besides, I'm sure they got some good money for our digital camera, playstation, games, eMac, etc.... There were a few robberies at that time and one of our neighbors overheard some kids outside her window sayin this would be the last time cause one of 'em was turnin' 18 soon. Man, I'm glad I don't live in that area anymore....

I know what "wtf" stands for. If you find the topic "retarded" , you're not by any means required to read it or post in it. There is a thread usually every sunday about plastic model cars guys are building, (And people do post in it) so I thought I'd start one for the guys who collect 1:18 scale stuff.

Thanks! You've got a pretty sharp eye. Yes, that red merc is the one that was in custom rodder eons ago. The red merc started out as that first version of the die cast 1/18 Merc for sale. It was purple color with silver flames, unchopped, with spots too high, but a nice grill came with it.

Haha ! I thought so ! I still have a bunch of Custom Rodder from the '90's at home. In another issue I still have, I think you did a version of Jerry Weesner's comet on your computer as a mid-engined car with a rear end that opened up GT-40 style. I dig your work man, that's why I remember it ;)

  19. A friend made the 3 matching ones, the 2 similar cases on wall brackets are store fixtures with the bases removed, and the oddball is one I made from generic 12 inch shelf board pieces from Home Depot. Thanks

    Todd

BTW, thanks for posting in my retarded thread !

  21. About 10 years ago, me and some friends really got caught up in the diecast badly. We'd go to Target at 8AM when they opened, then K-Mart at 8.30 when they opened, go to breakfast, and go to Toys R Us at 9.30 when THEY opened. Like fucking drug addicts. But, it was a lot of fun. Then, on Wed eve, and Sat. mornings is a place called Frank and Sons in Walnut. An indoor swap meet style building run by the drag racing Pedregon family that had everything from diecast to baseball cards for sale/trade by numerous vendors. It was a lot of fun. PS-it's not a retarded thread. Like I said earlier. Car stuff is car stuff. I collect old magazines, old drag racing videos, diecast, art, full size cars, and plastic models. Anyone says it's retarded is a fucking POSER and not a REAL car guy. Tell em "I" said so

  24. Thanks. I'm scared to think how much money is there. But, like I said earlier, it was a lot of fun chasing after some of it

  26. I don't have any pictures of my newer display cases yet but here a some of my older ones:

A custom truck made entirely out of wood with incredible details including a functioning Cat D-9 on the trailer.About 3 1/2 ft. long.Found at an antique shop;maker unknown.

A collection of older diecast cars and trucks from the 1930's.Came from my wife's aunt's house along with a near mint 1930's era standard gauge Lionel train set.Belonged to my wife's cousin who died in the early 70's.

A collection of hand carved airplanes my uncle made in junior high school. He graduated in 1936 and went on to design aircraft for Boeing.

An old coach I found at an antique shop years ago.Possibly one of the GM coaches from their design contests of the 40's and 50's.

Some tin vehicles I found at a flea market last summer.Cost me $12 for all of them.

The last is something I got today.Bought off e-Bay.Haven't seen these before.Made in China 1999 so they were done when Ed was still alive.Miniature skateboards with Chrysler 6-Pak motors and different designs on the top.Anyone ever seen them before?

Also a 1/4 scale Corvette built by New Era Models with a 35cc Zenoah motor.Made of small diameter 4130 tubing.Hand laid fibreglass body.

Hey Groucho, you up for more die cast? Here is the link I started about the new die cast company I am with. I think I showed you the '51 Ford and '54 Chevy at the mooneyes show.
