    Hey Alfster
What kind of setup do you have there on the wall for those 1/64ths? Are they in small custom cases stacked between rails or are you using some cutdown original packaging? I like it. Please explain. That is one of the most neatly compact displays I have ever seen.
    Thanks
I don't have a lot of die cast, myself, but HO slot racing goodies instead.

I don't have a lot die cast model, spend alot of time
making my display case and table. Then making the
posters to put on the wall (the posters on the ground
floor are made from photos of my cars)

some really nice redlines there guys... I'm jealous. I cant afford to collect em... so I have the standard line stuff. I probably have 5,000 HW from current stuff to the 80s. Most everything from 96-2007.

I've customized a bunch of HW over the years... but I've posted the good ones numerous times already.

Lots of JL and Muscle Machines... a few hundred of each scattered around. I have the cool Danbury Mint hot rods... some of the neat bigger scale stuff. Here are a few pics. I am always working on my salt flat display... I wish I had a better pic.

Some of you guys must have a maid come in to dust all those model cars!!! I have a lot but not as many as some of you and I can't keep on top of the dusting thing.
Thanks for posting the pictures you did, some cool stuff there.

  18. Am I glad I found this thread! I thought I was the only one addicted to diecast. I like to collect open wheel dirt, and vintage drag racing models I remember from the 60s. I'm so glad Carrousel has slowed down on the Indy roadster series, and GMP finally stopped the midget series. I really like the Precision miniatures fuel altereds, and 33 Willys. I don't dust, so I keep them all in cases. These shots are from my office, and there isn't much more room.

Oh yeah, I don't think collectin this stuff is retarded. I have raced circle track, drags, El Mirage, and Bonneville, so I think I qualify as a "car guy". I see these models as an extension of what I love.

These are just a few of my collection. I have somewhere around 5000 diecast cars. Mostly 1/64 size.

    I love toy cars too.

Some of these are from my childhood, and others are from someone else's childhood. They all make me smile when I walk out into my shop though...

If you look close, you might notice my grandfathers pocket watch, old road maps, a glass marble I found in the yard, some old gear shift knobs, and who knows what else!

It's funny how certain threads come back to life. Well here is a photo of an entire year's of releases that I did to finish off my career with Muscle Machines. It was a lot of fun, but now I am at Castline working on www.M2Machines.com Check out my blog when you get a chance. http://www.m2machines.com/blogs.php

I collected Hot Wheels for a while but it just kinda got old when I considered paying $50 for one. It was a good deal seeing as how it was the 1996 casting of the VW Drag Bus (which is usually a $75 to $100 car). I just didn't wan't to pay it. That was about 2 years ago. The most recent one I bought was the Wilshire Skaker.
