I had a 1953 Willys Aero coupe that I planned on making an early sixties style gasser out of. Got the car for free and ended up letting it go for free. I wasn't thinking on that day. At the least I should've taken pictures of it. It was much easier finding original stuff like that back in the 1980's when a lot of people where tossing things they'd replaced with billet crap.

66 chrysler New Yorker 2 dr, loaded to the hilt. Always see Newports but not too many New Yokers. It was our family car.

  4. I appreciate that. I was "finished" the way you see it in the pix, rechromed almost everything, new paint, etc. but now that I am older and not wiser I would have done gloss paint and better interior, reworked the suspension things like that. I sold it to fund a down payment on a house in SoCal. The guy who bought it lived on Orange County, owned a plant delivery service (seemed kind of shady) and I saw it around for about a year after then nothing.

I'd love to have my 59 Cadillac Coupe De Ville back, hell I only paid $50 for it back in 77.
If I couldn't have the Caddy, I'd take my 64 Dodge Polara 440/4spd.....joe

    Both of these.

The chopper I sold while working in a chopper shop in Miami in 1971. I had it parked outside. So many guys asked "how much?" i finally said $1500, I think anyway. The next guy said OK.

The '39 coupe I traded for a Corvette, straight axle, tilt front end, no engine or trans. The Corvette front end collapsed while towing. Glad it wasn't runnig!! The guy then sold the coupe to a dirt track racer, 1967. Cut it up and dirt track raced it. Even back then I almost cried when I heard. I've had dreams that I went to my old girl friend's house, now my wife, and I there it was still sitting in her barn.

For me it was a 1960 Coupe de Ville (1st photo) that I bought sometime around 2002 for $600.00. It was a one owner, virtually rust free, straight car. Sold it to a guy over in Australia. Last year I picked up another 60 de Ville from a fellow Hamber here in Amarillo. Paid fout times more for this one. So far, I have replaced the engine, transmission, and cut out anywhere from 15 - 20 rust areas on it. I'm not even close to having it done and I'm running low on cash. I'm happy that I did happen to find another '60, but i wish that I had kept the first one.

I liked (still like it) that RPU...

Nothing is ever the same the second time around.

But then again sometimes the memory of something is better than the actual experience really was.

Normally I like the rear wheels to line up in the back, but this thing just looks so bad ass with that back wheels out like that.

The one I regret the most would be a 1955 Chevy Bel Air 2-door hardtop that was supposed to be my first car. My dad bought it for me when I was very young. It sat in our backyard for years. Him and my older brothers put in a 327 and a th400. Never fired it up. Later on my Dad offered me a little 4x4 Toyota, and being young and dumb, I took it and my dad sold the 55. I have pics of it, but I need to have them scanned so I can post them. The other one I regret is my old 51 Chevy pickup... sold it to my brother, so it's not so bad. He'll let me cruise it every once in while...

This was my good friends uncles car back in the 60's it went through several owners for next to nothing each time. One of the owners used to drop his daughter off at school on the corner of his block with this car.(it was running mid 9.00s at the time). sad to say last i herd was that this car hit a wall racing in the nineties but I'm not 100% on that I hope I'm wrong.[IMG] [IMG]

I was the most proud of this ride. Pretty much perfection. As perfect a traditional as can be created. Straight out of Hot Rod 1949.

    I miss you, baby.

It was definitely a love/hate relationship with the '47, but I still love the look of it.

The photo was taken in 69 or 70,,,

    My 61 Sedan and 64 Coupe DeVille's

If they got away at the same time does it count as one :D
Sold em within a day of each other and a week before LSR last year. They both stayed in TX, the 64 went to El Paso and 61 to Ft. Worth.
