You may now have a security firewall in place at work, (like Websense) that prohibits some websites which host those pictures. (my problem too)

Whatever was the cause, the images are showing up correctly now. I didn't change a thing!

Yes, I have the white box. Your type is HUGE on your screen. Wow.

Only one day and I feel I'm back up to speed here now.
Navigation is just as easy and in some areas easier in this format.
After yesterday's multiple images and replies on the post I had on the new projects, I was about ready to pull my hair out. Really no different then someone who spent all their driving days with an automatic and trying to drive a manual. Ok. I'm ready...lets line em up!

How about reinstating the little box at the bottom of the post that allows us to unsubscribe. Would be a lot less trouble than having to go back to the user cp.

On the old board, when you searched for a keyword it would give you the list of threads (like now) then when you clicked a thread on that list you would be taken to the comment that contained that keyword. It doesn't seem to do that now. It just indicates the thread it's in and when you click on that thread it just takes you to the beginnng of that thread, not the comment with the keyword. Get it?

Also , why are we all mexican? Does Senior Member mean Mister Dick? Even the girls. I'd like to be "poop slinger" or "Promotional Whore" or something.

  11. Looks pretty damn cool so far... I'm liking it. Just got to get used to finding the buttons again!

I like the new look a lot, but have two questions. On the "Old' HAMB there was a button on the bottom that allowed you to get back to the section you were viewing, that feature is now unavailable. The postion of the original post in your reply makes for a longer overall thread, I deleat it and then post my reply. Thanks for all your work Ryan, "Best Damn Garage on the Internet", stole that from Smokey.

    ryan,

i like the feature where you put your cursor over the post name and you get to read/preview the first few lines. but for some of us senior citizens we just barely get our glasses focused when the preview goes off.

could you adjust the time the preview stays on to be a little longer for us slower folks?

    thanx.

  17. I was fairly indifferent at first, but after a few days I've really started to realize all the new features. This version is much more user friendly.

Great job. Happy to be here.

  18. There are sure a lot of pages to read. No time for that shit right now. So I'll just say that for a while during the reconstruction, I couldn't log on. Man, I felt like a herion addict whos connection got busted. It's a lot better since Ryan tuned it up, but I'm so happy that it's back.

    ¡Viva la HAMB! ¡VIVA!!

  19. I like it better, although its still going to take some getting use too.

  20. I can't find any of my "FAVORITE TREADS" and there were a few classics that I used as refference quite often...!

Is there any way to fix the page size and have anything that comes in automatically sized to fit, like for those friggin huge pictures that blow the page out on everyone elses post and those mile long urls that make all the rest of the thread several pages wide.

  22. I have another question.......would it be possible to swap the "POST REPLY"to the bottom of page and then place "POST REPLY WITH QUOTE" to the top? ...Make any sense?

Use the "Post Reply" at the bottom, the one in the thin banner just below the last post in a thread, it'll allow you to post a reply without the auto-quote deal.

    Great job guys!

    ryan,

in the old hamb when we wanted to send a pm to someone on our buddy list there was an option to browse the list and click on the person's handle. it doesn't appear that that is an option now. apparently you have to type in the name(s) of the recipient(s) from scratch. can we get the point and shoot option back?

    tia.

btw; if it's there and i'm just too much of a computer illiterate to find it would someone please explain to me how to do what i'm asking.

Another great new thing on this board is the 'ignore' on the control panel. Type in t m a n and you cant read anything he posts--ever! Isnt that cool!
Anytime he posts, all you get is a message saying, "This message is hidden because Tman is on your ignore list"

I may not have told you yet, but this is really, really nicely designed and built. Sorta like that mill with the add-on ohv or that black old car you got. Don't know where you get the time...
