Tinbender, those exhaust manifolds are the hands-down coolest stock exhaust. Ever.

Buick 364" Nailhead waiting to go back in my '57 Buick when I finally figure out what the hell I want to do with the suspension. Anyone got a mid 70's - '85 Jag I can have the suspension off of?

Well, it's not too dressed up in this pic, actually she's in the process of being undressed to come out, but hey, it's the only pic I've got, and it's in pieces now! Yeah yeah yeah... I know I've got a billet aluminum alternator bracket AND crank pulley. Man am I gay... [IMG] [IMG]

That was the "Day I drove it home" picture, it got subsequently extremely clean right after. I won't name the guilty party who I bought it from, he would have a much more difficult reason coming up with an excuse! [IMG] I guess cause he didn't own it for very long...

DAMN, there is some incredible stuff in this post...

4woody- Nice 218. Looks like your intake is coated. What did you use? I'm undecided if I should polish mine or paint it black so that the head gets all the attention. Are those Fentons lurking under there? I'm using Langdon's stainless tube headers, just got them.

Well... It is running...sorta. There is nothing behind the headers yet so it's a little LOUD. I started it and ran it up to temp the other day so I could re-torque the head. Figured there was no point really trying to adjust the carbs with no exhaust in place, and nobody to do exhaust till next week...
I always thought it was amusing to park it on the wharf with the hood up and the old running gear anyway..I'm easily amused.
The intake was just bead blasted and then sprayed with Hi-temp clear coat. I don't have the patience to polish. Did the same with the head except belt sanded the tops of the fins before the clear coat.
We'll see how all that clear coat holds up...
The headers were built by a guy named Tom Phillips, who is no relation to the Phillips who was doing cast headers.

I'm also a big fan of multiple carbs but did not know that someone made a man a fre style manifold for big blocks. Who made it? I have three two's on my 32 3 window. Its a Kritz manifold and I think they were made in Oklahoma. Someone told me at one time they also made a quickchange but I've never seen one.

Not mine (sigh), but worthy of inclusion in the "gallery" that's being created here. This is a '56 Chevy 265-cid/245-hp precursor to the '57 283-cid/270-hp "Black Widow/SS Corvette motor.
