Our c.c. Is sponsoring a car show trophy for the upcoming rose city round-up in portland june 15th 16th an have to build something cool. Im interested in some of the cool handmade trophies that you guys, and gals have won over the years...

thats pretty cool pinkynoegg! ill do my best to ignore lol. i have seen alot of cool homemade trophies out there, but never thought much about it till i was asked to make one.

 

I'm a little biased , but the ones given away at Detroit AutoRama and Sins of Steel are always Bitchin. ( Poorboys Detroit builds me ha-ha ) no pics , but check the threads from Autorama. I know Daddy-Os- Diner has won a couple of them.

cavalliers cc made for gnrs 2012, complete with removeable old "cavaliers" cigarrette tin ashtray and cigar holder- cigar included of course.

Here are a few that our group made. That big piston in the center of the aluminum pipe "wings" is a Caterpillar piston sawed in half.

 

Made from mostly 20 ga sheet metal and a few hrs with the tig...Fun

 

Couple that are given each year in memory of our daughter that died.

great trophies gang, i love the use of old broken parts!

 

Did this one for the Tuck fundraiser, but I do lots of similar stuff for bicycle events using bicycle parts.

Pretty pale compared to most here. Wanted something people could tack to the wall instead of take up shelf space.

 

One I made a while back, I think it was for BPNW.

 

Made by the students for the Chrome in the Dome car show Poky Idaho.Would be an honor to win one of these. All made by car parts and painted by the autobody dept.

Those are some way cool trophies. Some of you guys are very creative with old, otherwise unusable parts.

Here are some trophies that we have made.....

 

This probably my most favorite trophy we did for this years Sacramento Suede Palace.

 

Compared to the others, mine pales in comparison. I'm very proud of it though, long distance driver award, 1k mile round trip. Daily driver only vehicle '49 Chevy 1/2 ton.

 

these trophies are a great way to use up old parts lying around. Some really cool stuff on here!
