Posting Pictures? What resolution

    I plan on taking pics and posting them from the Motorama 1962 this weekend. What's the best setting to use for easy good dowloads?

    I cut mine in half. If the top # is 4000 I make it 2000.
     
  3. There's two ways to approach this. The first is to change your camera settings to shoot smaller images, like 640x480 pixels or 800x600 pixels. Then you won't need to downsize them. This works fine if all you intend to do is shoot pics to display on the forums.

    BUT....

    ...If you want to use your images to possibly make prints, for example, you should probably shoot at the largest image size that your camera allows and then downsize copies of the pics that you want to post here. Later versions of Windows include software for doing just this very thing, or you can use a FREE download of Google Picasa or Irfanview for the same purpose.

    There's several posts in this forum that explain the downsizing process.

    By the way, I'll be at the Motorama at Indy this weekwnd as well, probably Sunday. Look for the guy shooting with the old Canon G5. :D
