I have car that I posted that got deleted because moderator said it was a Street Rod. There are Clearly street rods posted on this site.?? I'm confused? Yes I'm talking about cars with Ac heat posted on this site. Not just period perfect cars. My car is a roadster with history? Help please
try asking the moderator who deleted it for an explanation. what wheels did it have? what engine? a/c and heat alone don't make it a street rod..
You been a member for 9 years and this was your first post? Was it in the cl***ifieds? Does the car have billet wheels? Is the engine a tune port? Lets see photo of the car. HRP
posted in the cl***ifieds, lol no tune port!! Polished wheels like several others on this site. No big deal, just was curious why it got deleted,
I did not delete it but had I seen it I would have. have you read the rules here? do you know what this place is about? you can find the rules here: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/the-h-a-m-b-rules-guidelines.44274/
I remember when this Magoo car came out in the 80's. I didn't delete it either but It's a 80's Street Rod. Polished Billet, Fuel Injected , Boyd's wheels. Unique 80's V-6 Engine. Sure it has history but it's 80's history, not Pre 65 history. If you see more "street rods " ... Just report it to the Mods and we'll zap them too. But as the last paragraph of the above rules link says - your definition of "traditional " and our definition of " traditional " may differ and our decisions are editorial decisions.
I deleted that ad. That car is a wonderful execution of a quality street rod with it's coil overs, curved windshield, billet parts and a bunch of other parts, trends and methods that didn't come out 'till the 70s. Problem is, it isn't a traditional hot rod. We, as moderators have to draw the line between street rods and traditional and/or traditional hot rods somewhere and that line sometimes gets fuzzy. We're going to occasionally piss somebody off and this is one of those times, Sorry if you disagree but I stand by my choice to delete this car from the cl***ifieds. Keep it traditional. And if you see other street rods posted on the cl***ifieds, feel free to hit the "report" ****on.
