I have heard some bad shit about Yellow Belly ,so that doesnt suprise me.If someone loosened my wheel like that and i could prove it ,my wife would still be trying to get me out of jail.

Has anyone thought about Ardmore? Not a bad track, and close enough for the Texans, only about 30 or 40 miles into Oklahoma. That said, Denton wouldn't be bad, and it's plenty close enough to attract all us Okies. Passed by it a few thousand times, and I always wanted to stop and check out the salvage yard.
As to Yellobelly, Rossauto and I rode our scooters down there back in about '85 or '86 for a Harley drag meet. Wasn't too impressive even back then.
    Just my 2 cents! :)

Is Springer (Ardmore ) still a 1/4? I raced there in 89 or 90 when i was 16 /17 and it was a 1/4 then. The wrecking yard at Sanger has some great stuff ,but if you plan to buy anything you will need to get a 2nd mortgage on your house.

My daily driver 67 Chevelle ran 13.30 's there in 1990 and i built it under a tree in the backyard on a 17 yearolds income. It had a 327 with an Offy intake and 3 dueces /glide .I got laughed at for running 3 dueces and slots in a time when everyone else was running pink rollbar pads and ZZ Top stripes on the side of their cars with Weld Lite wheels and neon green Jaz seats.I look back now and i laugh at them. Most of these guys were Okie's.

The website shows DFW Outlaws on the schedule. It's old school heads up racing, but not old school cars. There should be some real fast cars out there. It doesn't say anything about age of cars, so I think it's open to anybody that thinks they are fast enough. All it says is "doorslammers".

Is quarter mile racing at Little River just over and out? is that left hand curve shut down area (or into the river) too scary for the faster cars? I've only been to the track a few times and its the coolest place..did it used to be a quarter-mile track?...

Yep, it'd be fun to go watch those guys run.

Have you ever checked out www.tmccc.org . The Texas Muscle Car Club Challenge holds events throughout Texas and a couple in Oklahoma. It's more racing racing like you are talking about. Lux, a couple of others, and I are considering putting a team together for next year. The cars may be a little new for your taste, but I thought I'd pass it along anyhow.

Cool, I quess somewhere in the range of 6-7pm head out. I would not think it would get to good till around 100 anyway. I got to get some work done Saturday but the plan is to head out in the evening. I will try to find out what time they get started. If there like any other outlaw track I bet it will be a late start.
