Discussion in 'New to the H.A.M.B.? Introduce yourself here!' started by CadillacPerformanceParts, May 21, 2007.

  1. Hi, I am Potter from Cadillac Performance Parts in Tennessee. I was referred to this board from another forum. I will drop by from time to time and answer anyones questions one might have about Cadillac 500 engines. We have a complete performance parts line and crate engine program . I'll do a thread in the proper category with more info. Thanks , POTTER

You may remember Mr. Potter from the PHR "Engine Masters
Challenge" a little while back. Ungodly hp & tq from a 500" Cad
motor. Welcome aboard Richard, glad to have your expertise
here. Hope you'll be staying with us again for the PRI show this
year. Gotta like a guy that has a engine dyno at home...:D

  3. Glad to see you here. A lot of guys love the torque of the big Caddy engines, and the popularity of early Cadillac engines in traditional hot rods goes without saying. How about doing a tech article, with photos, outlining what to look for and avoid when choosing a vintage Caddy mill for a performance application?

  4. I'd be glad to. I have one to do for Hotrod, I can add all the stuff they'll put on the floor AND all the do's and don'ts of core hunting. I have enough "web friendly" pics to do a complete build with all the machine process now. About 1000 pics. First, I have to finish our 5 axis ported iron heads, our aluminum heads, a single plane and our new billet distributor. Stainless front cover too. We are also doing an aluminum water pump, BUT a pattern maker is doing it so it's not cramping me as of yet! Thanks guys.. BTW, I won't be doing the engine masters til they slack up on the rules and make an even playing field. We have the smallest journal cam there is and the largest main/rod journal sizes. It costs power from flex and bearing surface/weight!

  5. Hey Potter,
I am BIGREDTODD on the other forum you speak of, you are quite a wealth of knowledge and a great source. Got a 500 in my '60 F100. Haven't been on Cadillac Power in awhile as the HAMB suits me a little better...Welcome aboard!

  6. Spread the love! We are doing 5 axis ported iron heads (stockers) and have 345 cfm out of em as well as our new hi-port alum. heads. Going to have a busy summer getting it all going. Thanks
