Technical Powdered metal rods??? A question for the mtealurgists or whomever

    What he said. Oversize OD bearings have been available for some time. And not just for the newer cracked rod applications. Some main bearings also are available in larger that stock OD.

    yes they do resize them they make the bore bigger and the shell for the bearing thicker .
    but its like rebuilding a stock Pontiac rod , by the time you add up the cost you could have bought a set of Eagle forged rods .

    the guys I race with 550 HP is about the limit on these if you want it to last a season , you can push it for more but not for long they do not like detonation , for a stock 350 hp motor they will last a long time . and they are a little lighter than poured or forged steel/iron , but when they fail they fail big time.
