I have a 61 Electra the power brakes went out today. Which is fun to learn getting off the highway. My question is what make and model and year brake boosters will replace the brake booster getting the parts stores to get the right part is like pulling teeth.

In my area there is a shop that rebuilds big truck air brakes, like kenworth etc.
They have rebuilt boosters for old cars for me before.. The one here was called Warheim air brakes. Now the sign says Bendix. Maybe you got one like it near you.
They were pretty cheap. But that was 20 years ago..
The last one they did for me was a 65 or so newport. Yeah, you need a big leg without that booster working..

my old dodge had an early 60's GM power brake setup in it....my local NAPA store had a book of master cylinders, boosters going back far enough to identify my parts(by the master cylinder)....not saying they'll have'em but good chance....i found an '88 chevy setup to fit the pedals and went to a dual master cylinder setup instead( I had to splice the booster rod to get it to hook to the pedal)....works great....jim
