Are Ford vacuum boosters for power brakes noisier than others. I installed a 1978 Must II power booster and it makes a swoooshy noise when the brakes are applied. Brakes seem to work fine. This vacuum booster went eight years without any use. I'm wondering if the diaphragm in it is about to fail. I've only put five miles on it so far. The 302 engine runs fine and is not affected by the vacuum ***ist power brake system. Should I ust go with it until something fails?
