  2. 31 Pontiac, 354 hemi, 8.5# boost with my own v-belt drive, unstripped big bore 671 w/2 old Pontiac AFB's A833 four speed. I've lost track of the miles. Best of a 12.10 @115.10 but haven't run her since I switched from the h pattern shifter to the Hurst inline RamRod. There's an 11 in her for sure.

Early sixties style Dragmaster Dart 123 inch front engine dragster, 354 filled block, fairly lumpy solid roller cam, unstripped big bore 671, overdriven 11%, Hilborn 4 port w/ Enderle injectors, 10.25 static compression on alcohol. Finally got her down the track under power the whole way at the last HAMB drags for an 8.85 @ 165.50. That was starting in 1:1, rolling into the throttle about halfway off of the line, finally standing on it around 500'. Lots more left in her!

Does this count? Conquer the fear and stand on it!!!

Hey Kerry did you loose the blower belt on the Dragmaster in that pic? or do my eyes decieve me?

  4. Your eyes do not deceive you. I'd been having a lot of trouble with that. This was right as I got out of it on the first burnout that day and it shredded it. We changed it so the idler was inside the belt instead of outside and the next few passes it held. I'm switching from a 2" to a 3" belt this winter which will help a lot.
