1952-59 Ford Power steering add on

    I just gotta say it. The electric system may work nice but there is just something about having OG ford power steering that is likely just going into manual if it fails. Then fall complete apart and lose control. And that whole system seen under the dash looks like at lot of engine side stuff inside the car.

    The electric power steering does exactly what you describe, if it fails then you have manual steering. There is still a mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the steering box no matter what, you just loose the ***ist.

    @nosford thanks for that info. Still looks like a lot of stuff under the dash.

    The majority of components are behind the dash. The small amount that hangs below is barely noticeable.

    Much better than a lot of stuff on the Engine. Is very clean under dash and to amplify, standard steering if Electric unit fails. I have had EPS for years and love it. I did add a switch to vary the steering wheel pressure needed to turn. I like it stiff on the highway
