Hi, One of the guys I know has a 53 Buick with manual steering and he wants to convert it to power steering. Did anybody do this conversion before? Original P/S was available far as I know, but it must be very hard to come by.
No, the stock units are not hard to come by, it was a popular option, though finding one for a Special might be a little more work. They were a good unit, and helps while parking, but does not make the car "light" to drive by any means. Happy wrenching, Doug Cook
