Technical power steering problem

    So i disconected the pump and it still steers like shit
    I talked to the owner about putting in a MII front so now its waiting for his dicision

    the early mustang racks were like that. use a later model rack. u can get a rebuild reasonably that fixed mine. used one of the valves didn't do a darn thing .

    So you DON'T have a power steer problem! [as the title suggested]
    You have a geometry problem, most likely "bump steer"

    90% of the time [with rear steer racks] the inner tie-rod ends on the rack are too wide apart , So the tie-rods are too short and swings on a tighter arc causing "Toe out" under compression.

    A common mistake is thinking the inner tie-rod ends should be the same width as the lower inner A-arm pivots.
    But you need to allow for Ackermann to get the correct tie-rod length.

    You need to start by "string lining" up the car with the strings meeting at the centre of the rear axle [to get Ackerman correct ]
