I am very new to the building scene and don't know squat about what is required during the building cycle.
My first question is what is the difference between rack & pinion steering and power steering and do I need both? I am building a "55" Chevy and it is down to the bare frame. Can anyone get me started with with some instructions?
    Thanks

    Welcome aboard!
First instruction...you asked a question where your supposed to do your intro...so you need to get familiar with the board and then post in the right places!!! LOL

Doubt you need a rack setup on a 55. Won't improve anything but could offer geometry problems.
You can get a conversion setup for a regular power steering box from several sources...just Google it and it should show up.
A rack is a great setup, in its place, but doing a conversion to a rack on a 55 really isn't an improvement over what you have now.
Power steering thru a box conversion would be the least amount of changes to your front steering system and would thus be the easiest and I believe the best way.
