    Suprised nobody metioned this.

I forgot who, but someone used to race a chopped Willys with a 59' Edsel motor in it.

  2. Ok, well I've also got this in the works. A Y-block powered FED. :D

  6. The Cleveland is not a "big block".

Thank you 58custom, for that concise and correct Cleveland clarification. That "big block" moniker always bothered me too.:D:D:D:D

But I made a mistake. I failed to preface my comments by passing on to Bossy that he has one very fine Falcon. Looks like he modified the front end and got rid of the shock towers. Looks amazing, and I'd like to know more about it and the engine.

Here's my 41 - 2.3 with a turbo and a T5. We get 30+ mpg at 75 and have run 13.50's with basically a stock motor. Just got it back on the road after using it to hold down the garage floor for the past 4 years.

    Great Thread!
The 429 SCJ in my Custom, not the prettiest engine, but you sure can stroke them!
My all-time favorit is the Y-block. My 57 F-100 had a few over the years, this was the fastest.

here's my old ford powered f.e.d, blown alky cleveland, nascar block,4v iron heads, block grout filled,je blower slugs, roller cam,bug injector and 110 pump, sitting in an old mild steel rigid 150'' frame, made some pretty exciting passes, low 8's high 7's at 180 mph.this was back in the mid to late 90's, engine expired when the crank broke in 2 (could only aford a 4mab crank).i have great memories of pulling the front wheels up at 1/2 track. (sorry about pic,i could only scan one of my old poleroids).
