Gathering parts for the 9" rear end going in my 31' Tudor and been looking at these.

Curious if any of you gents have used one before? I like the idea of gears instead of clutches.

I'm not worried about noise as some say they can be noisy, it's a hot rod after all.

Plan to run it behind a 440 and torqueflite with 3.50 gears. Motor when installed will be around 400 hp but later on would like to push it up around the 550 mark.

Plan on lots of street driving and some mo-kan raceway weekend fun on occasion.

So looking for any advice or experience with this posi unit !

I run a Tru Trac in my 9in, 300gears. turbo 400, and a Caddy 472 . Also running 255x70 on 10in rims. I have run this setup now for 30,000 miles and couldn't be happier.

I looked in to one for my 8 inch Ford but found mixed reviews online. My impression from my 'research' was that it can't stand up to a lot of power and abuse. Not so with the Detroit TrueTrac so I went with that as I want this to be once and done.
